I enjoyed "Go Back To Where You Came From" simply because it makes you think about the effects and what others go through. We are kept here in Australia, safe and unaware of what actually happens to the people we think are "bad" for trying to seek asylum in Australia. What we don't realise that these people go through so much pain, stress, trauma, fear and they basically have nothing. I feel that they should be aloud to live here and work, even in the country they refuge in they should be aloud to live freely and work without having to hide away and have the fear of getting arrested.
All people should be treated equally.
Thanks Dani, a very thoughtful reflection. I thought your point "the people we think are 'bad'" is very pertinent. There are often misconceptions in the media. We need to analyse the language and slogans used and sift through to find the facts. Don't forget to check your spelling (aloud/allowed), Ms Lidgerwood
